The CCA investigated and then challenged the felling of 15 trees proposed by the council. The CCA were concerned that the contractor that recoomended felling was also the contactor doing the work, a potential conflict of interest. There will now only be the felling of six trees and these will all be replaced.
Excellent work and many thanks to one of our CCA members with appropriate professional experience who was instrumental in helping us achieve this result.
Furthermore, after much lobbying the CCA now have a representative on the Friends of Druitt Gardens group to help ensure that the gardens remain a tranquil spot where wildlife can thrive.
